MEET OUR FOUNDER, ANGELA SOLOMON.

Angela Solomon is the founder and CEO of A. Solomon Recruits, a recruiting firm focused on placing black and Hispanic candidates in c-suite positions.


Her firm has a 17-year track record of successful diversity recruiting, predominantly in tech and finance.


Prior to founding ASR in 2005, Angela worked for Caesar & Washburn, a management consulting firm that also performed executive searches for the not-for-profit industry, and Smyth Associates, a financial services executive search firm, giving Angela over 25 years of experience in the field.


She grew up in Brooklyn, NY as the daughter of a NYC schoolteacher and a serial entrepreneur. As a black child growing up in America with lofty professional ambitions, Angela became aware very early on of the inequities that black and brown Americans face in regard to higher education and professional development opportunities.


She later saw these inequities play out in her work as a corporate recruiter where she consistently worked with a disproportionately white candidate pool.


It has always been her goal and her life’s mission to help people that look like her take their rightful place in corporate America.


Angela holds a BA in Africana Studies and Political Science from Vassar College. She lives in West New York, New Jersey with her two youngest kids, Madison and Evan.
